Notre Dame by John Drudge

Through
The milk-white fog
Of the Ile de la Cite
Ageless
Limitless
History and myth
Intermingled
Beyond dreams
Of beauty
With the bells
Of the Angelus
Vibrating awareness
Within clusters
Of gothic marvel
As I stand beneath
A chestnut tree
And look up
Toward the guidance
Of a long forgotten
Light
