The Black Lady by Clyde L. Borg

The mist of Wales
And Hadwisa's tears
Mark the cobbled walks
Of Boverton castle.

Listen! Listen carefully.
You may hear a faint cry
Or perhaps be startled
By a pat upon the shoulder.

Her desertion by King Charles
Left her to roam the castle
Where she sometimes appears
In mourning attire as the Black Lady.
