Becoming
many-faced,
lissome and bare
she treads the cirrus drift
of repose;
subtle are her mannerisms,
ornate trappings at the touch, compounding
the weakness of lone flesh
giving in to-
the coming paralyzation,
inured to sinew,
and the turgid aching
of abashed vanity.
