Dust on the Parlor Mirror by Ken Allan Dronsfield

Boxed peanut brittle
candy cane smiles
cigar smoke rising
trays of ribbon candy.
spruce scent wafting
mistletoe in doorways
nutcrackers guarding
gifts around the tree.
lights flash or chasing
holly on the fireplace
toast with hard eggnog
enjoying Christmas eve.
bowl of reddish punch
family and friends arrive
holiday memories exist in
Dust on the Parlor Mirror.
